Quit Smoking Habit

Want to quit smoking? Well, this isn’t an easy decision, though. Once you decide to cease smoking means that you have a compromise with lifestyle, habits, and..of course a hard trial.

The bottom line is : make the decision to halt smoking (better, don’t ever start) and find the way that works for you. Oh come on, smoking makes a smell both in clothes and breathe. American Council on Science and Health, The National Institute of Health and the American Cancer Society, have enough information available that would make it seem insane for anyone to smoke. It even have all the dangers and reasons to never smoke again or to ever start.

The question is, why, why, many people mean to halt it but they just give up and can not find a reason that will motivate them to finally quit smoking once and for all. People not only continue, they even still start smoking even knowing most of the dangers. Health risks really don’t seem to be doing the trick for people to stop smoking.

At the very first time someone start to quit smoking, he/she might be seem uncontrollable. Well, we have the ability to state that smoking is more a habit than it is a physical addiction. Let’s state that the main reason people who want to stop smoking is they’ve yet to find the way that works for them.

Or, they’ve yet to find a way to replace whatever it is smoking gives them in the way of pleasure, stress reduction (though smoking stresses the body out absolutely) or satisfaction in some way. Let’s look at some of the ways people do stop and there are more ways to halt smoking than you may have thought.

There’s acupuncture, meditation, hypnosis, over the counter drugs, prescribed drugs by a doctor, nicotine replacements like nicotine gum, nicotine patches, nicotine lollipops, lozenges and pouches that contain nicotine, herbal supplements and the old fashioned cold turkey method. Waw, can you imagine?

There are more but one has to wonder if the market to halt smoking makes so much money that maybe not only do the tobacco companies want you to smoke, so do the manufacturers of stop smoking products. Did you know a person tries to quit an average of 11 times before successful? That’s a lot of repeat customers for stop smoking products. Meanwhile the tobacco companies are selling cigarettes to people who try to quit but don’t.
